In addition to panel discussions, the event featured a Candidate Forum for District 9, where community members engaged with candidates on their perspectives and plans for water resource management. This provided a valuable opportunity for voters to hear firsthand about policies and initiatives that could shape Kohala’s water future.
Why This Matters
Water is essential to Kohala’s agriculture, environment, and community well-being. The Kohala Water Summit built on the conversations started at the Agricultural Visioning event, ensuring that water management remains a community-driven effort. By bringing together experts, policymakers, and residents, the event created collaboration and informed decision-making for a more sustainable future.
