Kahua Paʻa Mua’s commitment to food security, sustainability, and ʻāina-based education was recently highlighted in an article by Libby Leonard on Resilience.org. The piece, titled “Returning to the Roots of Community Resilience in Hawaiʻi,” explores how KPM is revitalizing traditional farming practices to empower families, restore food sovereignty, and build a stronger, self-sufficient Kohala.
Through programs like ʻOhana Agricultural Resilience (OAR) and initiatives that teach natural farming, animal husbandry, and cultural stewardship, Kahua Paʻa Mua is actively shaping a future where the land nourishes the people, and the people mālama the land.
